About MROCC Recertification: From the very beginning of MROCC's certification process, it was recognized that this was a rapidly changing area of knowledge and regulation and that certification must be time-limited. From the very first, certificates issued were valid for five years, and dated with both an effective date and expiration date. Since 2001, MROCC Certification is valid for a six-year period. BEGINNING IN 2008: The recertification examination may be taken online using a Windows Computer and a high-speed Internet connection with Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. The examinations also may be taken onsite at the MROCC offices or following all ACOEM and ASAM MRO Training Courses. This new version of the recertification examination is not timed - take up to 30 days to complete and submit your answers. This version is open-book and reference materials may be used. When the exam is submitted an immediate Pass or Fail determination is provided along with two additional opportunities to retest online at no additional charge. The ONSITE version is the traditional closed-book examination and there is a three-hour time limit for completing it.
